Year 2015 Review~

Today is the last 2 days of 2015. Due to the fact that I’m going back to Penang tomorrow which probably will be busy, therefore, I decided to write my annual review one day ahead.

The year 2015 in general is a transitional year to me. Another word to it would be a year of ‘waiting’.
I started to work, yet there weren’t many things for me to handle, due to the current economy issue.

Next, it is also a year of waiting for better opportunities for both of us, along with lots of uncertainty that yet to solve even at the present moment.

Nonetheless, life goes on. It would be better for us to cherish and appreciate the wonderful moment that we had, instead of worrying for the unsureness that isn’t in our hands.

And so let’s begin by checking my 2015 resolution that I made in the beginning of the year.

1.     Learn as much things as possible in my current company
[Still learning, but to be honest not much]
2.     Use my spare time to improve my Japanese in order for me to pass JLPT N1 this July.                       [Passed!]
3.     Improve my English and those related to GRE.
      [Still learning.]
4.     Improve EQ and personalities by reading self-help books.                                                               [Did read books but not sure whether are there any improvement or not…]
5.     Be grateful and nice towards those who cares and loves me.
      [Perhaps, I did…]
6.    Stay healthy by eating healthy and lose 5 kg throughout the year.                                                 [Oops, almost no progress at all!!]
7.     Savings for rainy day.
     [Yup, and continues it will...]

Woah! It seems that I didn’t achieve much of my New Year’s resolution… That’s really too bad, but I guess those resolutions are quite subjective and also take longer time to achieve. Probably, next year I’ll make a more objective resolution list~

January: Left Penang and starts a new year
February: Chinese New Year meeting with parents in KL. Couldn’t get back to Penang, was quite depressed.
March: 1st Blood Donation in Singapore but failed. Body was too weak and couldn’t stand it. Cousin’s wedding and managed to meet mom.
April: Got confirmed at work.  Master’s graduation, finally!
May ~ June: Nothing special.
July: Took JLPT N1 Exam and got infected by the pneumonia disease .
August: Joined Japanese Speaking Club and also attended Singapore Japanese Summer Festival ( but not as interesting as Penang’s)
September: Ordinary days.
October: 27th Birthday (one more year older =_=).  Raised.
November: Travel to Taiwan and had a wonderful time there.
December: Unknown giddiness attack. Changing of job scope. Christmas and 31st December going home.

In general, year 2015 is an ordinary year for me with some good and some bad. As everything happened for a reason, let’s be grateful and embrace the things that we have and hope for a better 2016. And also it seems that I need to take care of my health too!!

Thank you 2015 and thank you very much for those who accompanied me throughout the year <3 p="">

~2015 Nanaho Award~

Another year, another Nanaho Award~
This year is the 9th consecutive years!!
Finally this year is going to an end, and let’s the show begin >>>

The Best Movie of 2015
-Theory of Everything –

This is my favourite of this year, plot is touching, get acting (especially Eddie Redmayne), beautiful scenery and wonderful music. This is the only movie review that I wrote in my blog.

The Best Drama of 2015
-天皇の料理番-

This drama is touching indeed. You’ll cry after watching every episode. Wonderful acting too (especially 黒木華と鈴木亮平). However, the last episode was a bit too controversial as non-Japanese audiences, people will think the other way round.

Favourite Actor of 2015
-Eddie Redmayne-

He’s good in acting, British (lovely accent) and cute too. Although, I don’t really obsess with him, but I guess he is still my favourite of the year.

Favourite Actresses of 2015
Same as last year, this year I got a couple of favourite too.
-林依晨-

Same as previous year, she’s still one of my favourite.

-石原さとみ-

She’s almost the same height as me, she’s hard working and she’s cute too. Not to mention she is nominated as the 19th beauty of the world.

-Michelle Dockery-

Can’t say that she’s very beautiful, but surely she’s very attractive. I like how she portraits Lady Mary in Downton Abbey, so elegant and full of poise.

-Moon Geun Young-

One of my favourite throughout the year, although I don’t really like her drama but you just can’t hate her. And she’s growing to become more elegant too.

-Lee Young Ae-

She is no longer young, but she definitely has the elegance temperament.

Favourite Couples of 2015
-Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde from the Theory of Everything-

Although they got divorce but their love story is still very touching and beautiful. I like how Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones portrait these 2 person.

-Ilya and Gaby from the Man from U.N.C.L.E-

There happens to be a few ‘ship’ in this movie, but I like these 2 the most. It is quite funny seeing Gaby teasing and making fun of Ilya.

Best books of 2015
I read 44 new books this year. Not too much, but a new record for myself~ throughout the year I got a few favourite but the best 2 are:

-The Sense of Ending by Julian Barnes-

This is a short story but full of suspense and not to mention some philosophy in it too. You’ll get a lot of surprise until the end. And I’m glad that they finally made a film based on this book and probably will release next year 2016.

-凍りついたの香りby小川洋子-

Because of Kindle, I read a lot of Ogawa’s books this year. And this is my favourite one. It is a story about how the narrator preserves her boyfriend’s memories after his death. The storyline is simple but the author describes it very well and beautifully.

//Music Section//
Best Artist of 2015
-一青窈-

The same as last year. Perhaps, it was due to the fact that I didn’t listen much of music this year. I especially like her歌窈曲, I listened to it when I was in Taiwan and it made me get the feeling of Taiwan is the Showa period of Japan.

Best MV of 2015
-Sugar by Maroon 5-
Who wouldn’t like this MV? It’s so cool and the tune is catchy too.

Best Album of 2015
-.不忘春風 by范宗沛/ 鄧雨賢-

Beautiful classical Taiwanese music. Lovely and calm.

Top 10 Songs of 2015
-恋唄 by手島葵
-Birthday by阿部芙蓉美
-Sugar by Maroon 5
-Relax in the city by Perfume
-Egg by 木村カエラ
-あなたに恋をしてみました by chay
-STAR TRAIN by Perfume
-長く短い祭 by 椎名林檎
-小幸運 by田馥甄
-ソメイヨシノby 平原綾香

Well that's all for my 2015~ Hopefully 2016 will be another good year!

And of course I’m getting more and more elegant <3 o:p="">

Michelle Dockery

Recently, I have been thinking of changing my temperament, in hope that it will make me a more poise and elegant person.
In order to do so, it would always be wise to have a role model, so that I’ll be able to have an idea of what kind of person I want to be.
Speaking of role model, in fact, I have a few of them.
For example: Taiwanese actress Ariel Lin, Korean actress Lee Young Ae and also British actress Michelle Dockery.

Today, I would like to talk about Michelle Dockery.
I get to know her during the 1st season of ‘Downton Abbey’ few years back.
Some may think that ‘Downton Abbey’ is only a soap opera in the 19th centuries, but I guess there’re more to learn in this ‘soap opera’.
The 1st thing that amazed me is the very beautiful script and the casts’ wonderful British Pronunciation.
Not to mention, the elaborately beautiful costumes and the good looking of the casts.
Other than that, If you would notice about it, that would be the poise and the behavior of the characters in this drama.
It would be nice to learn from them (especially the upper class) in behaving and solving troubles.
Michelle Dockery plays Lady Mary Crawley in this drama and her character is shown as a cold, smart and devoted to her family.  Which, I guess is the trait needed for every women in the present society.

As for Michelle Dockery in person, she’s not only an actress but also a Jazz singer too. I like her dressing style it’s quite simple but with her poise and feature, she always give the audience a mysterious look. In addition, she is also the first ever Humanitarian Ambassador, patron of Changing Faces and supports host of other charities too.

In next week time, she’s going to be 34. 7 years for me to go in order to reach her current age, I wish that I would be like her or my other role model when I reached their current age.
